About Hideout Harley-Davidson®
In 1970, the family business of Jr. Mills Cycle World (now Hideout Harley-Davidson®) became a franchised Harley-Davidson® dealer and was located in a midtown location in Joplin, Missouri. The business held on tight, through the ups-and-downs in the Harley-Davidson® history in a 3,000 square foot facility. As the Harley® brand and its growth sky-rocketed, a new era began. On July 17, 1999, a new facility at 5014 South Hearnes Boulevard (I-44, Exit 6), which expanded the original dealership to 15,000 square feet opened. Then on April 21, 2007, a celebration marked another period of growth, which touted the newly expanded 40,000 square foot facility where we sit today. We honor original owners Jr., Wilma and Ronnie Mills for their foresight, hard work and enthusiasm to dream the Harley® dream.
In January, 2013 Hideout Harley-Davidson® was born after previous owners of 42 years decided to sell. Hideout is owned by Stratton Murphy, Marc Murphy and Eric Sternberg. The three owners have 2 other dealerships in South Texas, our sister stores, Desperado Harley-Davidson® and Mad Boar Harley-Davidson®.
Our dealership has an extremely knowledgeable trained staff and carries a full-line of MotorClothes®, parts, motorcycles, and finance and Insurance. We are also very proud of our 14,000 square foot state-of-the-art Service Department, complete with a high-tech Dyno and Expert level technicians.
Without our customers, there is no business. Hideout H-D® strongly supports their Hideout H.O.G. Chapter in monthly meetings, year-round rides and events.
A great deal of effort is put forth throughout the year in raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association including the Annual MDA Ride for Life and Annual Black & Blue Ball that were started by Jr. Mills Cycle World. Hideout will continue those events because they are a need in our community to help raise money for MDA.
